All the Houses at Box Hill School are small and friendly so that students never feel lost or overlooked and different age groups are able to meet and mix. First time Boarders are reassured by the family atmosphere of our Houses and find them easy to settle into.
Each student is assigned a personal tutor within their house – a member of teaching staff who supports their academic and pastoral development. There are a mix of ages within each tutor group which helps to promote friendship, support and responsibility.
Physical Education and Sport are central features of life for Box Hill students, which they experience through physical education lessons, the activities programme and competitive sport.
Performing Arts are very strong at Box Hill School. Over a quarter of the school’s pupils play at least one musical instrument and many study two. We offer a wide range of instruments for tuition including violin, trumpet, piano, voice, guitar and drums.
