Set in the a beautiful 50 acre site, Taunton school nurtures the individual in a friendly and broad-minded atmosphere, equipping our young people with the life skills to enable them to shape the world in the 21 century.
Taunton does not see itself as overtly academic but claims to set much store by value added.
Use of facilities is maximised- flourishing art department with four studios equipped to art school standard obtains 100 per cent grade As. One third of pupils learn an instrument, many two or more. The orchestra, jazz band, wind and madrigal group preform regularly outside school.
A wealth of sports facilities which turn out dozens of county and several international champions in hockey, rugby, swimming, aerobics, tennis, athletics, cross country and National Schools show jumping.
Taunton is a traditional UK boarding school with a thriving International Study Centre adjacent to campus bringing 75 foreign students. EFL assistance available. The school offers A levels as well as the IB.
Pupils leaving Taunton go to top universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
