Anglo Education Services – The Team
Anglo Education Services was established in Hastings during 1996 by Isabel Alvarez, soon after arriving in the country.
Isabel started to get involved with international students by becoming a host family together with her partner Phil Wilson. Almost immediately family and friends from Spain were asking for summer school placements in English Language Schools and she became an agent for a local school for the first time. Placements in English courses during the summer were followed by year-round courses and boarding school.
The first www.angloed.com web site was launched in 2004 and the motivation continues for a very personal service of dedicated professionals.
In 2006, Isabel was invited to the very first BBSW (British Boarding School Workshop) by Suzanne Rowse (now British Boarding Schools Network Home
Over the years ‘Anglo Education & English Language Services’ now Anglo Education Services have visited numerous independent English Language Schools and boarding school campuses. We perform hands on analysis and evaluate each school’s academic programs, facilities, faculty, administration, and students.
We interview to assess and evaluate student and family needs, discuss goals, weigh the importance of school factors, and gain a true sense of the range of selection a family has in mind in their research of independent schools.
Isabel is an ICEF Trained Counsellor and attended educational Fairs and training programmes at BBSW; English UK; IALC and Independent Schools Show London.
What we do is truly personal: Offering informed, unbiased and impartial advice to international families at every stage of the private school admissions process – school search stage through post-decision stage.
Assessing and evaluating student and family needs, discuss goals, weigh the importance of school factors such as: educational philosophy, location, cost, size, athletics, arts, academic rigor, faculty, diversity, multiculturalism, student happiness and placement; and gain a true sense of the range of selection a family has in mind in their research of independent schools.
Big organizations may have budgets and teams, but they’re often slow, impersonal, and tangled in bureaucracy. At Anglo Education, it’s just me and my partner Phil — which means we can move quickly, speak directly to our contacts, and operate with a level of agility that larger institutions simply can’t match.
It’s our expertise and personal touch that will help you!
