Is a small school with an exceptionally caring environment where you will find happy, successful, confident and responsible girls. Set in 183 acres of Hertfordshire country side and five minutes from market town Hitchin, the Princess Helena College is an idyllic and safe place to learn.

PHC was established in 1820 as the first academic school for girls. Classes rarely exceed 18 and this personal approach allows progress to be monitored on each individual.

Princess Helena College is an independent boarding and day school with a strong identity and long history for girls aged 11 to 18. Although this school is a single sex school, there are links with boys’ school. Drama, debates and discos are shared so that an excellent all-round education is provided.
